saturday - drove to IL
this is the house/farm where shawna grew up
the land is being used but the house wasn't. we decided to reclaim some of the materials
and bring them back into S's life.
did some quick exploration, then got to work
we removed about 350sq foot of siding to reuse back at home
during removal, i was given a sign...
'garage' on an old piece of newspaper under the cedar siding board...
some things other than building materials managed to come home with use
"garage" it is...
i enlisted the help of big city H to add the siding to the new garage annex
long side done sunday
monday we added both ends, trimmed up the facia board, and remounted the gate.
now have to decide if we paint it, or clear coat it...
either way, welcome home S. welcome home siding.
